What To Do
Book a hotel that has service robots. You should check the Services & Amenities section. I have given some hotel examples that have service robots below.
When it’s time, follow the instructions in this article to order your food.
On arrival, the delivery person will place your food into a service robot.
However, you should be aware that the service robots may be busy with other orders during peak mealtimes.
If the delivery person sees no robot, they will either deliver to your room personally or hand it to reception.

Drone Delivery
NOTE: this is mainly in Shenzhen as of December 2025. One of the most popular ones is in Shenzhen Talent Park 深圳人才公园.
If you’re not visiting Shenzhen, the other two known places are the Beijing Great Wall Badaling section and Shanghai Baolian Park in Yangpu District.
It is possible that this service is expanded to more cities in the near future. Exact locations and availability are subject to change.
What To Do
Open the app “Amap” or “Baidu Maps” -> search for 美团无人机空投柜 for the exact locations. Note that maps may not always be up to date.
Head to the specified location using the metro or a taxi.
There should QR codes plastered on the front of the machine. Scan it using Alipay or WeChat to bring up the order options.
Select a restaurant and order your food
Make payment + your order will be processed
Monitor the waiting time + drone location on the app
Once the drone has arrived with your order, you will get a notification.
Enter the last 4 digits of your phone number or verification code to retrieve your order.
Grab your order from the machine + place the carrier box in the nearby recycle bin.
